Lenovo Launch New Ideapad 100S laptop available at Just Rs 14,999

Lenovo now brings to India an ‘affordable’ laptop running Windows 10 with a price tag that reads Rs 14,999.

First unveiled at the IFA last year, the laptop is now exclusively available via Snapdeal, for a slightly lower price at Rs 14,499. The Indian variant gets a slightly different specs sheet compared to the model unveiled at IFA last year. To begin with, it sports a 11.6-inch display with 1366 x768 pixels of resolution. The internals include quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor clocked at 1.83GHz and coupled with 2GB of 1600MHz DDR3L RAM. The 32GB onboard storage is expandable via microSD card slot.

It measures 292 x 202 x 17,5mm and weighs 1kg. For enhanced audio, the laptop comes with Dolby Advanced Audio and is backed by a one-year warranty. The specs sheet also reveals a 0.3MP webcam along with a standard keyboard. The connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB 2.0, HDMI, head phone jack and microphone jack. It is fueled by a 2-cell 39Whr battery that promises up to 8 hours of use.

Speaking on the launch of the laptop, Ashok Nair Director, Home and Small Business, Lenovo India said, “Lightweight notebooks that offer superior functionality at affordable price points are a compelling choice in an era where consumers are always on the go and want to stay connected. Another feature that every consumer asks for is a long battery life which we are offering with this really cool product. With its attractive design and specifications, IdeaPad 100S offers unmatched end user experience for both families and professionals.”
